Overview of Coverages

Trip Interruption & Cancellation
Covers your total trip cost if you need to cancel or interrupt travel for an unexpected covered reason.

Travel Delay
Reimburses you up to $100 per day for additional accommodations or travel expenses if your trip is delayed for covered reasons, up to $500 total reimbursement.

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Baggage & Personal Effects
Reimburses you up to $1,000 if your baggage and/or travel documents including passport, air tickets, and visas are lost, stolen, or damaged while on your trip.

Baggage Delay
Reimburses you for the purchase of essential items if your bags are delayed while on your trip for more than 24 hours, up to $100.

Medical Expense
Covers necessary medical expenses for an unexpected sickness or injury while on your trip for up to one year , provided you sought initial medical treatment while on your trip, up to $10,000.

Emergency Medical Transportation
Covers up to $20,000 in an emergency medical transportation to the nearest adequate medical facility and medical escort if needed.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Coverage against unforeseen injury which results in dismemberment or loss of life while traveling, up to $10,000.

NEWMANS VACATIONS INTRODUCES THE “NO” FEES WAIVER

We are now offering an option to add a waiver which allows travelers to cancel FOR ANY REASON not covered by the travel insurance – up to 72 hours prior to departure from their home town – which covers the full amount of non-covered LAND cancellation fees.

Our “No” Fees Waiver – at an additional cost of only $30 per person – must be purchased at the same time as the initial deposit/payment and insurance premium are received. The waiver covers land arrangements made through Newmans Vacations excluding certain products detailed below. Air fares or other travel arrangements not provided by Newmans Vacations are not covered.

When a cancellation which is not covered by the conditions of the travel insurance plan occurs during a penalty period, your cancellation penalty will be refunded in Newmans Vacations Travel Certificates. The balance of the refund will be made either to your credit card or by check. The Newmans Vacations Travel Certificates are non-transferable, non-refundable, and valid for travel commencing one year of cancellation and may not be redeemed for cash.

The “No Fees” Waiver does not apply to cruises, fishing or yacht charters, rail journeys, motor coach tour packages and New Zealand luxury lodges.

Insurance premium, cost of waiver, and any modification fees are non-refundable items.
