The Qantas Aussie AirPass is based on seasonality and zones. The price is based on the furthest zone you travel to.

Flight Information

All Qantas flights start in, or connect through, Los Angeles or San Francisco except from Hawaii, even though you may be en route from another U.S. city.

You must book the Qantas Aussie AirPass by 30 June 2008.

A maximum stay of 21 days applies. For an additional $300 extend your trip to 3 months.  Bookings are only available 11 months in advance from date of reservation.

Taxes, fees and surcharges:
Prices include fuel surcharges for the International flights and the three free stopover flights in Australia. Additional insurance and fuel surcharges per flight will apply to additional Australian domestic flights purchased. $21.60 per sector on Qantas flight numbers QF1400-1499/2000-2849. $23 per sector on all other Qantas domestic Australia flight numbers. U.S. and foreign taxes, fee, including September 11th Security Fee, are an additional $150 to $200 depending upon itinerary.

Zone definitions:
Zone 1 cities include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Newcastle and Launceston.
Zone 2 cities include Cairns, Townsville, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, Darwin, Hamilton Island, Rockhampton, Mackay, Gladstone and Gove.
Zone 3 cities include Perth, Broome and Hayman Island.

Zone combinations:
All zones are combinable with each other.

Note: The highest round trip fare based on the furthest zone in the itinerary will be charged.

Flight restrictions:
For AirPass (Q-PS) type fares:
Travel between Los Angeles and Australia is valid on all Qantas operated flights. Travel between U.S. domestic cities and Los Angeles or San Francisco is valid on Qantas and American Airlines flight numbers only.

For AirPass (S-PS) type fares:
Travel between Los Angeles and Australia is valid on all Qantas operated flights. Travel between U.S. domestic cities and Los Angeles or San Francisco is valid on all permitted U.S. add-on carriers.

Note: A minimum of one domestic Australia flight must be included in the itinerary with a minimum stopover of 24 hours.

Minimum stay:
Return travel must commence no earlier than 7 days after departure from the U.S.

Maximum Stay:
For AirPass (Q-PS) type fares, the maximum stay permitted is 21 days. For AirPass (S-PS) type fares, the maximum stay permitted is 3 months. A surcharge of USD300 applies.

Note: All travel must start on or before 31 December 2008.

Stopovers:
Three free stopovers plus unlimited within Australia for an additional fee of $123 per stop. At least one stopver is mandatory over 24 hours.

Reservations and ticketing:
Reservations for all flights must be confirmed. Bookings are only available 11 months in advance from date of reservation. Form of payment must be provided at the end of the transaction. For AirPass (Q-PS) type fares, tickets will be issued within 72 hours of confirmation. For AirPass (S-PS) type fares, reservations must be made 7 days before departure and tickets will be issued within 72 hours of confirmation. The Qantas Aussie AirPass is valid for ticketing through 30 June 2008.

Child discounts:
Children aged between 2 and 11 years pay 75% of the adult fare. A maximum of 2 child fares per adult permitted. Infants under 2 years and not occupying a seat pay 10% of the adult fare.

Booking changes:
Date changes are permitted for a fee of $100 per person per change. Rerouting is not permitted at anytime.

Cancellation:
Tickets are non refundable. Other conditions apply. Contact Qantas reservations or your travel agent for all conditions.

Visa requirements:
It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure all visa requirements are complied with.

Note: the American Airlines AAdvantage program may reduce or omit earning miles on certain Qantas fares.

Qantas codeshare flights:
Flights from Chicago, Newark, Miami, Washington DC, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, St. Louis, San Diego and San Francisco are operated by American Airlines/American Eagle. Flights from Portland and Seattle are operated by Alaska Airlines.
