Day 1: Arrive Rarotonga
You will be met by our friendly representative and transferred
to your resort. Relax, get settled and perhaps swim in the
translucent blue water of the lagoon. Tonight, ask about Island
night for Polynesian entertainment and a traditional feast.
Overnight: Rarotonga, choice of hotel
for 3 nights.
Day 2: Safari Island Tour
Your driver/guide will meet you this morning for a 4WD safari
tour around the island of Rarotonga. Visit breathtaking vantage
points, discover the history of the people, their ancestors
and traditions. A highlight of the day is a visit to the magnificent
Papua Waterfalls. The 3 hour tour ends with a cold drink and
fresh fruits. (B)
Day 3: Rarotonga at Leisure
Today you might want to rent a jeep or scooter and cruise
around the island. Your resort has snorkeling gear for your
convenience. The restaurants in Rarotonga offer an array of
South Pacific cuisine and seafood is a speciality. Ask for
our recommendations on dining hot spots. (B)
Day 4: Rarotonga – Aitutaki
Board the short flight to Aitutaki today. Aitutaki is undoubtedly
one of the most beautiful and prisitine lagoons in the South
Pacific. Stunning white beaches coupled with aqua blue water
make this destination truly remarkable. Overnight: Aitutaki,
choice of hotel for 4 nights. (B)
Day 5-7: Aitutaki Lagoon Cruise
Board your cruise this morning and head off to 2 different
islands in the beautiful Aitutaki Lagoon. The first stop is
for snorkeling, coconut cutting demonstrations and an island
walk. Next cruise to One Foot Island for a barbecue lunch
and time to swim, sunbathe or just snorkel the lagoon. Other
days at leisure. (B,L)
Day 8: Aitutaki – Rarotonga
Fly out from Aitutaki today and back to Rarotonga. A day use
room has been reserved for you until your flight departure.
