Day 1 Arrive Auckland
On arrival, be met and transferred to the hotel. Rest of day at leisure. Accommodation: Auckland

Day 2 Auckland / Waitomo / Rotorua
Travel to Rotorua. Stop at the Waitomo Caves for lunch and tour the Glow Worm Grotto. Tonight enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and concert. Accommodation: Rotorua for two nights. (L,D)

Day 3 Rotorua Sightseeing
Experience the varied sights Rotorua has to offer. Visit Rainbow Springs, the Agrodome Sheep Show, Te Puia Thermal Reserve and the Maori Arts & Crafts Institute, then enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 4 Rotorua / Queenstown
Fly to Queenstown and transfer to the hotel (airfare not included). The remainder of the day is at leisure. Accommodation: Queenstown for three nights.

Day 5 Milford Sound Day Excursion
Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, the gateway to the Fiordland National Park. Join the Milford Sound Red Boat cruise to explore this majestic fiord. Return to Queenstown.

Day 6 Queenstown
Day at leisure in Queenstown.

Day 7 Queenstown / Mt Cook / Christchurch
Depart Queenstown for Mt Cook National Park. We suggest a scenic flight over some of New Zealand’s finest alpine scenery (optional, own expense). Then travel through the MacKenzie Country via Lake Tekapo where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd before reaching the Canterbury Plains and on to Christchurch, arriving approximately 7:30pm.
