Day 1 Arrive Christchurch
On arrival, be met and transferred to the hotel. Perhaps take a punt on the Avon River. Accommodation: Christchurch

Day 2 Christchurch / Mt Cook / Dunedin
Travel to Aoraki/Mt Cook, then continue through the Canterbury Plains to Dunedin, known as the “Edinburgh of the South.” Accommodation: Dunedin for two nights.

Day 3 Dunedin
Board a double decker bus for a 1 1/2 hour tour of Dunedin’s historic sights. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of the Otago Peninsula including the renowned Royal Albatross Colony (seasonal).

Day 4 Dunedin / Queenstown
Enjoy rugged unspoiled landscape aboard the Taieri Gorge Train to Pukerangi. Board a coach and continue the journey to Queenstown, adventure capital of New Zealand. Accommodation: Queenstown for three nights.

Day 5 Milford Sound Day Excursion
Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. Join the Milford Sound Red Boat cruise to explore the wonder of this majestic fiord. Return to Queenstown.

Day 6 Queenstown
Today is at leisure to explore Queenstown.

Day 7 Queenstown / Franz Josef
Enjoy the scenery through the Haast Pass and continue on to Franz Josef. We suggest a scenic flight or add an extra day to explore the glacier (own expense). Accommodation: Franz Josef

Day 8 Franz Josef / Christchurch
Travel to Greymouth and board the scenic TranzAlpine for a journey famous for its spectacular mountain scenery. Travel across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch arriving at approximately 6:40 pm. We recommend booking an extra night in Christchurch.
