Day 1 Arrive Sydney
On arrival in Sydney, be met and transferred to the hotel.
The remainder of day is at leisure to explore the city.
Tonight, enjoy a welcome drink with the Tour Director.
Accommodation: Sydney, Sofitel Wentworth for three nights.
Day 2 Sydney, Manly, Harbor Cruise
Tour Sydney and the northern beaches to Manly and stroll
along The Corso. Join a Sydney Harbor luncheon cruise. See
the homes of Australia’s wealthy as you cruise, along with the
Opera House and Harbor Bridge. The remainder of the day is
at leisure, perhaps discover Sydney’s eclectic suburbs. (B,L)
Day 3 Sydney at Leisure
Today is a great opportunity to explore Sydney and its regions on
your own. Perhaps discover the Blue Mountains, Jenolan Caves
or the Hunter Valley and its famous wineries (own expense). (B)
Day 4 Sydney / Cairns
After breakfast, transfer to Sydney Airport for the flight to
Cairns, (flights any time, airfare not included). On arrival in
Cairns, be transferred to the hotel.

Day 5 Cairns, Great Barrier Reef
Cruise out to the ribbon reefs located at the outer edge of the
World Heritage Great Barrier Reef. The Agincourt Ribbon Reef
system provides unsurpassed coral formations, colorful marine
life and spectacular underwater visibility. Explore the reef from
a semi-submersible observatory, swim, snorkel or dive. (B,L)
Day 6 Cairns at Leisure
Today is yours to do with as you wish. Take a tour to Kuranda
to see the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers, ride the Skyrail over
the rainforest and take the Kuranda Scenic Railway passing
over 40 bridges and through 15 tunnels traveling through
tropical rainforest and past rushing waterfalls (optional,
own expense). (B)
Day 7 Cairns / Ayers Rock, Sounds of Silence
Dinner
Depart Cairns on a flight to Ayers Rock (airfare not included).
On arrival, be transferred to the hotel. This evening, enjoy the
“Sounds of Silence” dinner, a three-course dinner of gourmet
local produce served while the sun sets with an uninterrupted
view of Uluru. Listen to the sounds of the didgeridoo as you
are given an astronomical tour of the Southern night skies.

Day 8 Ayers Rock, Uluru Base Tour, Kata Tjuta
This morning, watch the sun’s first rays strike Uluru. After a
guided walk to the waterhole of Mutitjulu, join the Mala Walk
and tour the base of Uluru. See caves, Aboriginal rock art and
sacred Kantju Gorge. Or, forgo the Mutitjulu and Mala walks to
climb Uluru. Visit the Cultural Center, then travel to Kata Tjuta
(the Olgas), 36 dramatic rock formations. Walk into Walpa (Olga)
Gorge and hear about the area’s unique geology. (B)
Day 9 Uluru (Ayers Rock) / Alice Springs
After breakfast, journey from Uluru to Alice Springs. Stop at the
Outback Camel Farm and ride a camel (own expense). Arriving
into Alice Springs this afternoon, enjoy a town tour including
the Royal Flying Doctor Service Base and the School of the Air.

Day 10 Alice Springs / Adelaide
Fly on to Adelaide (airfare not included) and be transferred from
the airport to the hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of this historic
city.

Day 11 Adelaide / Kangaroo Island
After breakfast transfer to the airport for the flight to Kangaroo
Isalnd (airfare included). Visit the Eucalyptus Distillery and enjoy
morning tea. Travel to Seal Bay for a stroll on the beach and a
picnic lunch in a bush setting. Journey to Kelly Hill Caves and
explore the underground caves. In Kelly Hill Conservation Park,
watch kangaroos, wallabies and other wildlife graze on the open
plains.
Accommodation: Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat for

Day 12 Kangaroo Island
Journey to Flinders Chase National Park. Watch the Fur Seals
frolicking in Admirals Arch and walk among the Remarkable
Rocks. After a picnic lunch, travel to the island’s north coast.
Walk on stunning beaches and secretive bush tracks where
kangaroos, wallabies and koalas abound. (B,L,D)
Day 13 Kangaroo Island / Melbourne
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Adelaide (included)
for the connecting flight to Melbourne (airfare not included).
On arrival, transfer to the hotel and spend the remainder of
day at leisure to explore the city.

Day 14 Melbourne, City Sights Tour
This tour of cosmopolitan Melbourne includes Collins Street,
St Paul’s Cathedral, the Princess and Regent theatres, the Royal
Exhibition Buildings, Federation Square and the Royal Botanic
Gardens. Explore Captain Cook’s cottage in Fitzroy Gardens before
visiting the Queen Victoria Market. See world-renowned sporting
arenas and the historic Shrine of Remembrance. Cross the West
Gate Bridge for amazing city views. The afternoon is at leisure.
Perhaps visit the Little Penguins on Phillip Island (own expense). (B))
Day 15 Melbourne at Leisure
Take an optional tour to visit the wineries of the Yarra Valley
or travel to the magnificent Great Ocean Road to see the
Twelve Apostles and London Bridge (own expense). (B)
Day 16 Depart Melbourne
Transfer to the airport to connect with an onward flight. (B)
