Day 1 Arrive Hobart
Following arrival, transfer from the airport to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Accommodation: Hobart, Mercure Hotel (Standard) Lenna of Hobart (First Class), Henry Jones Art Hotel (Deluxe) for two nights.

Day 2 Hobart – Port Arthur
A visit to Tasmania is not complete without seeing Port Arthur. This historic site is a compelling and dramatic reminder of Australia’s convict past and the early settlement of the colony of Van Dieman’s Land, now Tasmania. Your day starts with a brief tour of Hobart. Then head out to Richmond, a village of slate and cobblestone, cottages and manors. Wander streets lined with sandstone buildings showcasing the best of Tasmania’s fine arts and crafts. Marvel at the natural attractions on the way to Port Arthur, such as Devils Kitchen. Port Arthur was created with convict labor, and the impressive architecture, delightful gardens and chilling prison facilities survive today to explore with the guide. A cruise will finish off the day. Morning tea and a light lunch are included. Arrive back at the hotel around 5:30pm. (L)

Today is at leisure until a transfer to Hobart Airport.
