DAY 1: ARRIVE TOKYO
Welcome to Japan! On arrival at Narita Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Japan’s capital, Tokyo is home to over 12 million people. Discover the vibrant energy and everchanging cityscapes of this amazing city. Overnight: Tokyo, Shiba Park Hotel (Standard) or Keio Plaza Hotel (First Class) for 3 nights.

DAY 2: TOKYO SIGHTSEEING
Depart this morning for a tour of Tokyo’s main attractions. Visit the Tokyo Tower Observatory for panoramic city views and Imperial Palace Plaza. Drive through Akihabara and Ginza, Tokyo’s famous shopping and amusement areas, then see Asakusa Kannon Temple. (B)

DAY 3: TOKYO AT LEISURE
A day at leisure to explore more of Tokyo. Perhaps go shopping or visit Tokyo Disneyland. (B)

DAY 4: TOKYO - HAKONE
Today is a scenic journey from Tokyo to Hakone. On the way, drive part of the way up Mount Fuji and enjoy lunch at Hotel Highland Resort. Continue to Hakone for a boat cruise on Lake Ashi and a ride on the Aerial Cableway at Mount Komagatake. Overnight: Hakone, Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en (Standard and First Class) for 1 night. (B,L)

DAY 5: HAKONE – KYOTO
This morning, board the Japan Rail Super Express train to Kyoto. The Japanese bullet trains, or“Shinkansen,” are renowned for their innovation in high speed rail travel. Upon arrival in Kyoto, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Kyoto, New Miyako Hotel (Standard) or Kyoto Hotel Okura (First Class) for 3 nights. (B)

DAY 6: KYOTO SIGHTSEEING
This morning, explore the highlights of Kyoto and visit Nijo Castle, or Ryoanji Temple, Kinkakuji Temple, Kyoto Imperial Palace or Higashi Honganji Temple and the Kyoto Handicraft Centre. The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B)

DAY 7: KYOTO AT LEISURE
Enjoy a full day to explore Kyoto at your leisure. Famous worldwide for its temples and shrines, Kyoto is full of traditional Japanese architecture. Perhaps visit historic Nara, and see the Todaji Temple – the world’s largest wooden building, Deer Park and the beautiful Shinto Shrine. (B)

DAY 8: DEPART KYOTO
Today is at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight (flight not included). (B)
