DAY 1: ARRIVE MUMBAI
Welcome to Mumbai! On arrival, you will be met
and transferred to your hotel. Mumbai is India’s
most cosmopolitan city and the center of the
Indian film industry known as “Bollywood.” Overnight: Mumbai, Hilton Towers (First Class)
or The Oberoi (Deluxe) for 1 night.
DAY 2: MUMBAI – UDAIPUR
This morning is at leisure before you transfer to
the airport for your afternoon flight to “the city of
Palaces,” Udaipur. On arrival, you’ll be transferred
to your hotel. Overnight: Udaipur, Hiltop (First
Class) or Taj Lake Palace (Deluxe) for 2 nights. (B)
DAY 3: UDAIPUR CITY TOUR
Your morning city tour starts with a visit to the
impressive City Palace, one of the largest in Rajasthan,
where you’ll marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and
ivory doors, inlaid marble balconies and the Peacock
courtyard. Then continue to discover Sahelion ke
Bari, the 18th century “garden of maidens” and the
ornate Jagdish Temple that dominates the Udaipur
skyline. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure before taking
a boat ride on the placid waters of Lake Pichola in
the evening (subject to water level in the lake). (B)
DAY 4: UDAIPUR – DEOGARH
Today, journey to Deogarh via Ranakpur, a village in
the mountains renowned for its marvelous temples
carved in Amber. Overnight: Deogarh, Deogarh
Mahal (First Class & Deluxe) for 1 night. (B)
DAY 5: DEOGARH – JODHPUR
Today you will travel from Deogarh to Jodhpur.
The remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight:
Jodhpur, The Umeed (First Class) or Taj Hari
Mahal (Deluxe) for 2 nights. (B)
DAY 6: JODHPUR CITY TOUR
Jodhpur, known as the “Blue City,” is the southern
gateway to the great Thar Desert of Rajasthan.
This morning, your city tour includes the imposing
Meherangarh Fort situated on a hill overlooking
the city. The Fort houses an extensive collection
of armory, costumes, musical instruments and
elephant palanquins. This afternoon you will take
a tour of the Mandore Gardens. (B)
DAY 7: JODHPUR – JAIPUR
Early this morning, transfer to the railway station
for the train to Jaipur. You’ll be transferred to the
hotel on arrival. The afternoon is at leisure in Jaipur.
Overnight: Jaipur, Holiday Inn (First Class)
or Jai Mahal Palace (Deluxe) for 2 nights. (B)
DAY 8: JAIPUR – AMBER FORT,
ELEPHANT RIDE & CITY TOUR
This morning, embark on an excursion to the
Amber Fort, which includes an elephant ride.
In the afternoon, your tour of Jaipur includes the
magnificent City Palace, Observatory and a photo
stop at Hawa Mahal, the “Palace of Winds.” (B)
DAY 9: JAIPUR – AGRA
Journey this morning by coach to Agra via the
World Heritage-listed ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Its glorious courtyards and palaces conjure up
dreams of the mysterious past. This evening, enjoy
time at leisure. Overnight: Agra, Holiday Inn
(First Class) Taj View (Deluxe) for 1 night. (B)
DAY 10: AGRA TOUR & TAJ MAHAL – DELHI
Today, enjoy a city tour of Agra, including a visit to
the famous Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daulah
and Sikandra. This evening, you will be transferred
to the railway station and journey by train to Delhi.
On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Overnight:
Delhi, Crowne Plaza (First Class) or The Oberoi
New Delhi (Deluxe) for 1 night. (B)
DAY 11: DEPART DELHI
Delhi, India’s capital city presents, a fusion between
old and new; where forts, tombs, palaces and
ruins share the skyline with high rise buildings
and stately homes. Today is at leisure before your
transfer to the airport for your onward flight
(flight not included). (B)
