Temples of Angkor

5 days/4 nights Small Group Tour Locally Escorted

HIGHLIGHTS: The fascinating Phnom Penh history and the monumental Angkor Wat combine for five days of stunning culture and heritage.

DAY 1: ARRIVE PHNOM PENH
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight meet for welcome drinks and a tour briefing. Overnight: Phnom Penh, Cambodiana Hotel (Standard) or Raffles Hotel Le Royal (Deluxe) for 2 nights.

DAY 2: EXPLORE PHNOM PENH
In colonial times, Phnom Penh was pocketed with cinemas, grand churches and smoky opium dens. After years of war and terror in the 1970s, Phnom Penh is now reinventing itself. Visit the National Museum, the Royal Palace, the famous Silver Pagoda, and the chilling Museum of Genocidal Crimes. The rest of the afternoon is free for exploring. (B)

DAY 3: SIEM REAP AND ANGKOR
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap (flight included). This afternoon enjoy a cruise on Tonle Sap, through a floating Vietnamese village. After sunset over the lake, return to your hotel. Overnight: Siem Reap, Day Inn Angkor Resort (Standard) or Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor (Deluxe) for 2 nights. (B)

DAY 4: THE TEMPLES OF ANGKOR
Experience sunrise over the world’s larget religious monument, stunning Angkor Wat before a foray into the corridors of this epic structure. After lunch, take a scenic drive through rural Cambodia to the intricately carved Banteay Srei. Later, head to the jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm, one of the most atmospheric of all Angkor’s temples. Your amazing journey ends tonight. (B)

DAY 5: DEPART ANGKOR
Transfer to the airport to connect with your onward flight (flight not included). (B)

If an escorted small group isn’t your preference, ask for details on private charter touring and independent flexible arrangements. We’ve got it all!
